No, the basic idea of putting buying power (money) in the hands of the consumers is good. It is the way as to how you go about doing this is the question. Stop taxing the public, including sales tax, lower income taxes a great deal, and get rid of all but what is absolutely necessary in the government. Privatize schools (cut property taxes), and let people vote with their dollars as to what they want.
