What in the world does this mean?

ok, so i left my Facebook page up and this guy i like (Cole) im ed me saying "pancakes". like an hour later i messaged him back, and it went like that, and my best friend (Jessie) thinks he likes me back, so she imed him and said "so my friend Cara is pretty nice, right" and he said "yeah" and logged off.. not sure what thats supposed to be taken as..
